Who is Dr. Mike Moreno?
Dr. Mike Moreno’s full name is Dr. Michael Rafael Moreno or better known as “Dr. Mike,” was a student at University of California, Irvine (UCI) and Hahnemann Medical School or the current Drexel University. He was moved to San Diego from his original residency at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana, California. He is currently practicing family medicine in San Diego, CA and one of the the board member of the San Diego Chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
In 2008, Dr. Mike launched his first program “Walk with Your Doc”, where Dr. Mike would walk with a patient to motivate him or her to exercise. It has since grown into a large thriving community. Dr. Mike dedicated two days a week (every Tuesday and Thursday morning) to enroll with hi patient before start his workday. From here, you can see that Dr. Mike is someone that would take his pride not only as a doctor, but also as a true friend. It sound like a Patch Adam in making to me, don’t you think?
